What More Would One Want!

GOA!!! The place is a magnet! And South Goa, well, that is perhaps a soft magnet!! Ha Ha!

For the umpteenth time, albeit with a new band of biker brothers, South Goa AdvenTour beckoned us! We did go! And boy! Did we have the time of our lives!

This was a 5 day blur of riding on highways, twisties, the rough & the smooth, forests, along beaches, on beaches, in the very belly of unmatched scenic greenery and Uff! A true time-travel experience at times!

The unavoidable mundane was some part of highway rides but this was forgotten by the not-so-mundane, in fact by the extraordinary sections of the adventour. The beauty of Chorla Ghat, the thrilling, edgy bits on some really dangerous twists & turns in there, the stunningly deep, quiet and enthralling environs of Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary, the weirdly named but faith-generating Bubbling Lake, the mesmerizing ride to Palolem beach and the awesome sunset views at Canaguinim, were all worth their weight in gold! Happiness galore!

Balancing the tough ride quotients were the relaxation intervals, free exploration times and yes, the greatly cherished fine-dining experiences that Yonderlust had planned for & created with gusto. Leda Balcao, Zeebop By The Sea were the pleasure-giving food places. Not one unhappy soul in the band! Adding to the thrill was an impromptu, post-dinner night ride in the vicinity of Benaulim, Colva and Margao!

And the twist in the tale of this wonderful ride was the last bit, on the way back. Making adventure the pronounced mantra of the return journey, Tilari Ghat was demolished in quick time by the bikes! The “haunted” Three Kings Chapel was daringly visited on the ride to Amboli, which was a night’s stay full of great fun-bonding, bonfire, barbeque and gup-shup sessions!

Leaving the ride was a stab in the heart but today, recalling every bit of it is living it again and real! Great one, boyz & gals! An encore awaits!!
