A Natural Wonder!
Fitting in a packed itinerary doesn’t usually suit a quick & short adventour. But the one to Lonar Lake packed in fantastic enjoyment!
The main attraction was of course the great natural wonder that this lake is, but every day of this adventour had surprise packages bundled in. Travelling to Aurangabad on the way to the lake, visiting the UNESCO Heritage Site of Ellora Caves was one huge surprise that was a gift to all. The famous Daulatabad Fort was a lesson in history too!
Travelling on patchy & bad roads at times, through the wonderful Gautala Wildlife Sanctuary and bearing the brunt of rains & winds, with a sense of deservance, the Lonar Lake was finally in view. And what a sight that was! Truly a wonder! A sense of serenity and bliss was a continued phenomenon that surrounded the lake!
Quickly made memories, scenic pleasure bursts and a sense of pride in having captured sights & sites of wonder & heritage – proof that great things often come in small packages! Worth it, all the way!
